The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) has appointed Erwandi Hendarta from a top local law firm to the supervisory board of the sovereign wealth fund.
He replaces Yozua Makes, founding and managing partner of law firm Makes & Partners, whose term as a member of INA’s supervisory board ended on January 22.
Hendarta is a senior partner at Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners.
His appointment to INA’s supervisory board is for five years, the wealth fund says in a statement on January 22, adding that his extensive background and experience in law, risk management and strategic investment will bring valuable expertise that will bolster its efforts to achieve its objectives.
According to the fund, the appointment underscores the government’s “consistency in managing INA to grow into a professional sovereign wealth fund that gains trust within the global investment community”.
