French custodian bank BNP Paribas Securities Services has secured a post-trade data management mandate from Australian superannuation fund UniSuper.
The bank made the announcement in a statement on June 11, saying that it will deliver a range of data integration solutions to UniSuper and support decision-making across the investment value chain.
BNP Paribas will also incorporate climate impact analysis into the services using its six-month old multi-dataset portfolio system called DATA PRISM360, through which the bank applies pre-agreed business rules and controls “to enrich and ensure the data quality”.
“Clients like UniSuper can then interact with and utilise these books of record through application programming interfaces and self-service capabilities,” the bank says.
Paris-based BNP Paribas has around US$15.4 trillion of assets under custody.
Melbourne-headquartered UniSuper is one of the largest superannuation funds in Australia, with around A$149 billion ($96.94 billion) of funds under management.
