UK asset manager Schroders plc is looking to sell its Indonesian unit, attracting interest from at least four companies, including HSBC Asset Management and Germany’s Allianz Global Investors, according to Reuters, citing two sources with knowledge of the matter.
Schroders has hired advisers to work on the potential sale of the unit, which has around US$4 billion of assets under management, the news agency says in a report on December 14.
It says local lender Bank Negara Indonesia is among the companies interested in buying the unit.
Schroders had US$982 billion of assets under management as of end-September.
