Australian asset manager First Sentier’s UK unit Igneo Infrastructure Partners has raised A$400 million (US$260 million) from institutional clients to finance two renewable energy projects in Australia.
The capital was raised from Australian superannuation funds such as Cbus Super, MLC and AMP Super, which will become co-investors in Atmos, Igneo’s renewable energy platform.
Igneo, which announced the fundraising in a statement issued on August 12, says the money will be invested in Atmos’ battery energy storage system project in Perth, and its wind farm project in Adelaide.
According to Danny Latham, head of Igneo Australia, Atmos is “a great example of our mid-market platform strategy” offering co-investment opportunities to the super funds to support “value-accretive growth”.
The statement says Atmos plans to invest A$3 billion to deliver more than one gigawatts of renewable energy projects within the next two to three years.
London-based Igneo managed A$22.5 billion of assets as of June 2025.
