Founder and Publisher

Tan Lee Hock founded Asia Asset Management in 1995, establishing the first trade journal in the Asia-Pacific region to serve asset managers, pension funds, and institutional investors. He has been instrumental in shaping the publication’s comprehensive news coverage and creating the highly regarded Best of the Best Awards, a leading institution in the industry, as well as all of the company’s roundtables and events.

Georgia Tan

Associate Publisher and Director of Marketing & Events

As Associate Publisher, Georgia oversees the editorial and curation of all news and event-related content. She also manages Asia Asset Management’s marketing and advertising initiatives, playing a key role in the company’s digital transformation. She co-manages the events team, ensuring the success of all event-related activities.

Anthony Rowley is Tokyo Correspondent for Asia Asset Management and has been based in Tokyo for many years.

Among previous positions he has held are those of Business Editor and then International Finance Editor of the Hong Kong-based Far Eastern Economic Review; Field Editor (Japan) at Oxford Analytica and European Industrial Editor on The Times newspaper in London. He is the author of a number of books, dealing chiefly with Asian finance and economy.

Elizabeth Dooley

Elizabeth’s media career began in London in the early ‘90s and she has since lived and worked in Europe, Southern Africa and Asia Pacific.

Her experience in journalism, public relations consulting and publishing encompasses clients from institutional investors and multinational corporations through to entrepreneurial start-ups, NGOs and budding best-selling authors.

Today, she spends her time between the UK and Hong Kong.

Lawrence Au

Lawrence is a recognised pioneer and thought-leader of Asia’s securities services industry, having spent 36 years at the forefront of the region’s financial sector development since the 1980s. He served as Asia Pacific CEO of BNP Paribas Securities Services and Northern Trust for 16 years combined, as well as senior roles at several global banks.

He was honoured with various prestigious industry awards including Global Custodian’s “Industry Legend Award” (2023) and Asia Asset Management’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” (2016). He has authored two books documenting Asia’s financial industry development over the past 40 years. Currently, he is a member of the Market Advisory Group of Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s CMU OmniClear.
