Hong Kong asset manager Value Partners Group has opened up its US dollar money market fund to retail investors.
The Value Partners USD Money Market Fund was initially introduced for professional investors in September.
The Securities and Futures Commission recently cleared the fund for distribution to retail investors, Value Partners says in a statement on November 6.
Managed by Chief Investment Officer Sean Chang, the fund actively adjusts exposure to various securities, such as treasury bills, commercial paper, time deposits and short-term corporate bonds.
“The launch of the USD Money Market Fund is part of the group’s strategy to enrich our product offerings to address investors’ needs for low-risk income and capital preservation solutions,” Value Partners Chief Executive Officer June Wong says.
Value Partners had around US$5.7 billion of assets under management as of September 2023.
