BEA Union Investment Management and the Bank of East Asia (BEA) have launched an all-weather fund in Hong Kong, marking the first collaboration between the two companies.
The BEA Wise All Weather Fund has a globally diversified portfolio across equities, bonds, commodities, real estate investment trusts and cash.
BEA’s investment strategy team will act as the fund’s adviser to provide macro-level recommendations on asset allocation, while BEA Union will conduct global market research and implement asset allocation to establish a robust investment framework for the fund, BEA Union says in a statement on March 25, when the fund was listed.
“The fund focuses globally, diversifying investments across various themes and asset classes,” Janet Li, chief executive officer of BEA Union, says in the statement. “This approach aims to keep volatility within set levels and capture the growth potential of each asset class in different market conditions.”
BEA Union, a Hong Kong-based investment joint venture between BEA and Germany’s Union Asset Management, had US$7.6 billion of assets under management as of December 2024.
