The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority’s (APRA) executive director of life insurance, private health insurance and superannuation has resigned.
Carmen Beverley-Smith has left to take up a senior position at a regulated entity, APRA says in a statement on January 12. The entity was not named.
Peter Kohlhagen, general manager of APRA’s life insurance, private health insurance and superannuation divisions, has been named interim executive director.
Beverley-Smith joined the regulator from Westpac Group in March 2023 as executive director of superannuation, a role that was expanded to include life insurance and private health insurance 18 months later.
