Hong Kong insurer FWD Group Holdings Ltd has tapped David Junius from US healthcare firm Pearl Health as its new group chief financial officer.
Junius, who was CFO at Pearl Health, starts on July 1, taking over from Sid Sankaran who is relocating back to the US but will continue as an adviser to FWD.
The Hong Kong company has also hired Alex Wong as group chief actuary, and Knattapisit Krutkrongchai as chief executive officer of its operations in Thailand, both effective May 11.
FWD announced the three appointments in a statement on March 16.
“The depth and breadth of their experience make them exceptional additions for the next phase of FWD’s growth,” according to Huynh Thanh Phong, group CEO and executive director of FWD Group.
Wong, who was group chief actuary at UK insurer HSBC Life, takes over from Michael van Vuuren, who has left FWD.
Knattapisit who was CEO of Thai insurer Krungthai-AXA, succeeds David Korunic, who is retiring from FWD in the middle of the year but will remain as an adviser.
