US investment manager Capital Group has hired Jamie Sinclair from asset management giant BlackRock as head of exchange-traded funds for Europe and Asia Pacific.
In the newly-created position, he will be responsible for building and leading the company’s active ETF business across the region from his base in London, Capital Group says in a statement on June 29.
Sinclair brings extensive experience to the role and “will be instrumental as we continue to expand in the region”, according to Scott Davis, head of ETF at Capital Group.
Sinclair was head of iShares product distribution for Europe, Middle East and Africa at BlackRock, where he worked for 12 years.
Capital Group, which managed US$3.4 trillion of assets as of end-March, is the third largest active ETF issuer in the US, offering 25 funds and eight model portfolios.
