The Indonesia Investment Authority has appointed Eddy Porwanto as acting chief executive officer after Ridha Wirakusumah completed his term as CEO of the sovereign wealth fund last month.
Porwanto takes on the role on top of his existing position as chief financial officer. He is also acting chief risk officer of INA, which announced his appointment in a statement on February 26.
Wirakusumah, the first CEO of the wealth fund, ended his five-year term on February 15.
Indonesia established INA in December 2020 with the mandate to attract new capital to the Southeast Asian country via direct co-investments and hybrid capital solutions.
Last year, INA secured US$2.75 billion of co-investments from sovereign wealth fund Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Dutch pension investor APG Asset Management for a toll road project in Indonesia.
