Nikko Asset Management names Hiroshi Yoh as CIO and global investment head
Japan’s Nikko Asset Management has appointed industry veteran Hiroshi Yoh as chief investment officer, global head of investment and executive corporate officer.
He takes over the CIO and investment head roles from Hiroki Tsujimura, who remains an executive corporate officer and will continue to oversee investment management and the corporate office division, the company says in a statement on October 28.
The appointments are effective November 7.
Tsujimura took on oversight of the corporate office division in April this year. He will now focus more on this role, strengthening relationships with government and industry bodies.
Yoh and Tsujimura will both report to Nikko Asset Management President Stefanie Drews in their capacity as executive corporate officers. Yoh will also report to Tsujimura in his investment roles.
He has 33 years of experience in the asset management industry, working for Japanese and global companies in senior positions. “With his achievements and knowledge, Yoh will be a dynamic addition to [Nikko’s] global investment management structure,” the company says.
