South Korea’s pension fund for private school teachers has opened a tender seeking a trading agency for its foreign equity investments.
According to the request for proposal issued by the Teachers’ Pension, financial institutions bidding on the tender must be experienced in offering trading services for foreign stocks and equity exchange-traded funds in Korea, and have a net capital ratio of at least 150%.
The RFP was published on the pension fund’s website on October 30.
Applications are open until November 7 and the winning bidder will be chosen by November 18.
Teachers’ Pension managed around 26.9 trillion won (US$19.4 billion) of assets for 400,000 current and retired private school staff as of end-2023.
