Hong Kong-listed FWD Group has announced that Jeremy Porter, chief risk officer of the insurance company, is retiring next month and that industry veteran Craig Tunstall will fill the role on an interim basis.
Tunstall, who has over 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, joined FWD in 2020 and is chief corporate governance officer of FWD Thailand. It’s not clear if he will retain this role on top of being interim chief risk officer.
According to Huynh Thanh Phong, group chief executive officer and executive director of FWD, the firm conducted a “comprehensive” search for the interim role.
“We are pleased to have someone of Craig’s calibre, experience, and familiarity with FWD ready to provide interim leadership to our group risk and compliance function,” Huynh says in a statement on October 11.
He did not say if FWD is searching for a permanent replacement for Porter, who is stepping down on November 14.
