Franklin Templeton Investments’ (Franklin Templeton) sales director for Belgium and Luxembourg, Christophe Vande Walle, will relocate to Singapore in early 2016 to take up the position of assistant vice president (AVP), financial institutions for Singapore and Southeast Asia. He will be responsible for business development and client relationships across the private banking distribution channels in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Vande Walle has over 14 years of sales and marketing experience within the financial services sector. Before joining Franklin Templeton in 2011, he held client relationship manager roles at BNP Paribas in Luxembourg, and with Fortis Investments and Euroclear Bank in Brussels.
On the new appointment, Stephen Grundlingh, Franklin Templeton’s regional head for Southeast Asia, remarked: “Franklin Templeton’s wholesale fund business across Singapore and Southeast Asia remains a core focus for the firm. Christophe’s experience in sales and relationship management across private banking channels in western Europe will be invaluable, as we continue to expand our reach and product offering within the growing private banking distribution channel.”
Franklin Templeton had over US$770 billion in AUM as of September 30 this year.
