AIA Singapore Pvt, a unit of Hong Kong’s AIA Group, has appointed company veteran Chin Chung Wen as chief distribution officer to succeed Ho Lee Yen, who is leaving after ten years with the insurance company.
Chin, who has worked at the insurer for nearly 30 years, is currently regional chief agency officer of AIA Group Agency Distribution.
His new role is effective October 1 and he will report to Chief Executive Officer Wong Sze Keed, AIA Singapore says in a statement on August 28.
Meanwhile, the company has also appointed Damien Tan as CEO of its unit AIA Financial Advisers.
Tan, who was head of agency operations at AIA Group, takes over the new role from Delon Choo, who was appointed chief agency officer of AIA Singapore earlier this year. They will both report to Chin.
AIA Group had US$330 billion of total assets as of June 2021.
