Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has appointed Fahad AlSaif as head of investment strategy on top of his existing role as head of global capital finance, the position he has held since joining the sovereign wealth fund over three years ago.
He will be responsible for guiding development of the US$935 billion wealth fund’s overarching investment strategy, as well as its sustainability and net zero strategies.
He will ensure “utilisation of sophisticated economic research and advanced analytics to enable effective decision-making for PIF’s leadership”, the wealth fund says in a statement announcing the appointment on July 23.
Fahad joined PIF in January 2021 from the National Debt Management Centre, where he was chief executive officer.
