Indonesian sovereign wealth fund Danantara has raised US$1.5 billion in its debut dollar bond sale, according to Reuters, citing the term sheet for the offering.

The wealth fund’s wholly-owned unit Danantara Investment Management sold $750 million each in five and ten-year notes,  priced to yield 5.35% and 5.95%, respectively, the news agency reported on June 12.

It says the proceeds will be used  for general corporate purposes, including investments and refinancing existing debt.  The bonds are expected to be issued on June 18.

Spokespersons for Danantara did not immediately respond to questions from Asia Asset Management.
