Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte Ltd led a US$91 million fundraising round for US aerial robotics firm Infravision.
Other investors that participated include US venture capital firm Activate Capital, US impact investor Energy Impact Partners, and German venture capital firm Hitachi Ventures, Infravision says in a statement on November 12.
According to the firm, its aerial robotics system reduces outages, improves emergency response, and minimises community disruption in even the toughest conditions.
It says the new capital “significantly strengthens” its ability to hire world-class engineers and scale US operations and manufacturing, and accelerates deployment of its TX System, a fully integrated combination of drones and intelligent ground equipment system.
